I served with Ty Langrall while he was a civil servant with the Directorate of Combat Developments at the Intelligence Center and School on Fort Huachuca. His mind snapped back in ‘95, and he has been in a nursing home since then. Ty left us on May 14, and the obit was posted today.

Tyler Langrall
November 16, 1937 — May 14, 2002Tyler Langrall, 64, a 26-year resident of Sierra Vista, AZ, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Santa Rosa Care Center in Tucson, AZ.
He was born November 16, 1937, in Baltimore, MD.
In 1980, Mr. Langrall retired from the U.S. Army at Fort Huachuca, AZ, as a first sergeant. He was instrumental in starting the first Volksmarch on Fort Huachuca. He loved fishing and hunting, and was a life member of National Rifleman Association. He was a member of the Sierra Vista Masonic Lodge, Cochise County Range Riders, and a life member of VFW Post 9972.
Mr. Langrall is survived by his wife of 22 years, Terry Langrall of Sierra Vista; daughter, Holly Langrall of Sierra Vista; and grandson, Michael Tyler Langrall Haygens.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at VFW Post 9972, 549 Veterans Drive, in Sierra Vista. A memorial service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002, at VFW Post 9972. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 10 a.m. at the Post Cemetery on Fort Huachuca. A reception will follow the interment at the VFW Post 9972.
Family would prefer donations, in Mr. Langrall’s name, to the VFW 9972 Ladies Auxiliary for Cancer Aid Research, 549 Veterans Drive, Sierra Vista AZ 85635.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jensen’s Sierra Vista Mortuary.
