Is a New Ice Age Under Way?
Watch out, Al Gore. The glaciers will get you!” With that appended note, my friend, retired field geologist Jack Sauers, forwarded to me a report that should have been a lead item in every newspaper in the world. It was the news that the best-measured glacier in North America, the Nisqually on Mount Rainier, has been growing since 1931.

The significance of the fact, immediately grasped by any competent climatologist, is that glacial advance is an early warning sign of Northern Hemisphere chilling of the sort that can bring on an Ice Age. The last Little Ice Age continued from about 1400 to 1850. It was followed by a period of slight warming. There are a growing number of signs that we may be descending into another Little Ice Age—all the mountains of “global warming” propaganda aside.

Scientist: Forget Global Warming, Prepare for New Ice Age
Sunspot activity has not resumed up after hitting an 11-year low in March last year, raising fears that — far from warming — the globe is about to return to an Ice Age, says an Australian-American scientist.

Physicist Phil Chapman, the first native-born Australian to become an astronaut with NASA [he became an American citizen to join up, though he never went into space], said pictures from the U.S. Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) showed no spots on the sun.

He said the world cooled quickly between January last year and January this year, by about 0.7 degrees Centigrade.

“This is the fastest temperature change in the instrumental record, and it puts us back to where we were in 1930,” Chapman wrote in The Australian Wednesday. “If the temperature does not soon recover, we will have to conclude that global warming is over.”

The Coming of a New Ice Age
CHICAGO — Contrary to the conventional wisdom of the day, the real danger facing humanity is not global warming, but more likely the coming of a new Ice Age.

What we live in now is known as an interglacial, a relatively brief period between long ice ages.  Unfortunately for us, most interglacial periods last only about ten thousand years, and that is how long it has been since the last Ice Age ended.

How much longer do we have before the ice begins to spread across the Earth’s surface?  Less than a hundred years or several hundred?  We simply don’t know.

Even if all the temperature increase over the last century is attributable to human activities, the rise has been relatively modest one of a little over one degree Fahrenheit — an increase well within natural variations over the last few thousand years.

While an enduring temperature rise of the same size over the next century would cause humanity to make some changes, it would undoubtedly be within our ability to adapt.

Entering a new ice age, however, would be catastrophic for the continuation of modern civilization.

No quality control on the data they get from other sources???????

“A GISS spokesman lamely explained that the reason for the error in the Russian figures was that they were obtained from another body, and that GISS did not have resources to exercise proper quality control over the data it was supplied with. This is an astonishing admission: the figures published by Dr Hansen’s institute are not only one of the four data sets that the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) relies on to promote its case for global warming, but they are the most widely quoted, since they consistently show higher temperatures than the others.”

Talk about prime hoax material!!!! No wonder they show higher temps!!!

Gore says no to ‘Climate Czar’ role
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/nov/13/no-gore-in-any-climate-czar-post/

Of course he would say no. If he became the ‘Climate Czar’ he would have to quit all those companies he’s making millions of dollars off of due to conflict of interest.  According to Rush’s Algore ‘Doomsday clock’ there is only 7 years, 2 months, 8 days, 18 hours and change before the world comes to an end, according to Algore.

Obama wants immediate action on greenhouse gases

Just another way to screw up our already messed up economy. Let’s fix something that’s not broke.

A couple of hours ago it dawned on me that what we are witnessing is a Russian/Chinese plot to destroy all of the worlds’ markets so they can dominate. Since the GISS doesn’t check the temperatures used by other people that are plugged into their computer analysis, I wonder how long the Russians, and maybe the Chinese too, have been putting bogus information into their system?

They put in bogus info. Nobody at GISS checks. The world goes nuts and forces their companies into bankrupcy trying to meet unrealistic CO2 goals, that in reality won’t change anything anyway. Russian and China dominate the world markets.
What a concept.

So now Hollywood has to think of more subtle ways of propagandizing the man-made global warming hoax.

The killer frost for global warming
“Turn up the heat, somebody. The globe is freezing. Even Al Gore is looking for an extra blanket. Winter has barely come to the northern latitudes and already we’ve got bigger goosebumps than usual. So far the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reports 63 record snowfalls in the United States, 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month. Only 44 Octobers over the past 114 years have been cooler than this last one.
The polar ice is accumulating faster than usual, and some of the experts now concede that the globe hasn’t warmed since 1995. You may have noticed, in fact, that Al and his pals, having given up on the sun, no longer even warn of global warming. Now it’s “climate change.” The marketing men enlisted by Al and the doom criers to come up with a flexible “brand” took a cue from the country philosopher who observed, correctly, that “if you’ve got one foot in the fire and the other in a bucket of ice, on average you’re warm.” On average, “climate change” covers every possibility.”

Glad the arctic ocean is clear because of man-made global warming.

Over 200 whales trapped in Canadian ice
At least 200 narwhal whales in Canada’s Arctic, trapped by winter ice and facing starvation or suffocation, must be culled, officials say.

Hunters from the village of Pond Inlet on Baffin Island discovered the animals trapped near Bylot Island, about 17 kilometres from Pond Inlet, on November 15.

Fresh arctic air will spread over the East today, leading to more lake-effect snow downwind of the Great Lakes. Record lows will be challenged across the South tonight.
A reinforcing shot of chilly air is pouring across the eastern half of the nation in the wake of a cold front. The cold will keep high temperatures below freezing over the interior Northeast and 10 to 20 degrees below normal across the South today.

I see Germany is experiencing unseasonal global warming due to the high CO2 in the air.  Sort of like whats happening here in the north.  Jim, keep off the roads until they clear up.  We would not want to lose you.

Jim,
Here is a new Avatar for you. I think it better reflects the man-made global warming mentality.
