I’ve posted to the gallery area here 164 of the 500-plus photos I took during the 2009 Rimbach reunion. Click here for the direct link. They can be accessed from the gallery area as well, of course.

For those who might want them, higher resolution versions are available on my personal gallery by clicking here.

Those with photos, which means just about everyone, please burn them — all or just those you think appropriate — to a CD or DVD and send them to me for posting on our site. You can also post them to your own site(s), of course, but I think it’s important to keep copies here for posterity ... or whatever. grin

Contact me by email for my mailing address, and I’ll get them put up as quickly as possible.

Bill,
You take some great pictures!  Thanks for posting them.  A fantastic time was obviously had by all and it looks like you had good visibility for the trip up the hill, unlike in 2004.  Did Pivo carry the flag in the parade?

Yes, he did. Right up front. I have another shot (not posted, I think) of the flag against the wall behind us at the fest that first night.

Not sure how I did it but here are 10 more pix of reunion - Saturday trip to Kötzting and up the hill… have a feeling that some other pictures are in a UI file so don’t be surprised if I find 10 more.

Bill already mailed CD’s to you so if you don’t mind I will just e-mail these pictures or I think you can download from album but not sure

let me know

I have a disc of photos from my trip.  There are some frome the reunion and also from the rest of my trip.  Any way, if you would like, send me the address and I will send the pictures.  I would separate themm but I have not found a way to do that yet. There are some picrures of folks I have nor seen on this site.

Bill.. did you guys get to go into the old Vite building? How did you work that? I saw only one picture of the inside, unless I missed something. Did they remove the equipment trailer from below the tower? Who owns the site now and what are they talking about doing with it? Thanks!!

Hi, Joe.

Yes, we were inside the old building at the site. Ami Charlie helped arrange that for us, I think as part of the Germany Army group’s celebration that weekend. Their old site was open to the public, and they opened our old site so we would walk down memory lane. It was great.

The old LFV building is in pretty bad condition inside. I imagine anything of value was stripped out when it shut down. Now, there’s all sorts of wear, tear and damage.

I’m not sure who owns it now, but it could be the same German who bought the German site for that hotel project. Our site may have been part of the deal as well, but I’m not sure.
