I have just looged in for the first time and it’s great.  I will upload a photo and avatar as soon as I can re-size them.  I am looking forward to seeing this community flourish.  Congrats to Bill and Glenn. grin

Very impressive site, guys! It was a pleasant surprise to see it pop up in a web search.

Not much/everything! Long, long story. I’ve bounced around from state to state since I left the AF in 92. Finally wound up in Sacramento, CA. doing TV advertising stuff. Latest chapter in the story finds me, at the ripe old age of 58, with a brand new bouncing baby daughter. Life is good. smile

Yep, we exchanged several emails yesterday. I told him about the planned June 09 reunion, and he seems very interested.

The new site is great!  I am especially excited about the possibilities of the wiki feature and am looking forward to see how the photos are displayed.  I just tried the wiki out by entering a definition for “Dub” in the Words and Phrases category that Bill L.  started.

I thought you’d probably find the Wiki of interest, Bill. It holds the potential of becoming — over time, as new items are added — a real “history lesson” about Rimbach and our time there.

The syntax of a Wiki is a little odd. To me, any way. Like creating categories, for instance. Being as structure is vital to a Wiki, it always surprises me that something as vital as that hasn’t been simplified: instead of typing in those codes to assign a category, making them a drop-down menu, for instance. But it is what it is.

As you probably saw, I’ve included a link on the Wiki’s main page to the Wiki’s documentation. That should help everyone get started.

To begin with, I’d envisioned a German and even Czech subcategory to go with the English. And, of course, main categories are just determined by need as well.

I’ll add things when I can, as well, but so many more folks know so much more about Rimbach than I know.

big surprise Well I’ll be darned - this must be the spot to say WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU HAVE DONE BILL.
Really like that un-subscribe this thread link - Any chances to add a check box for Joe and Kaipo so we can read reasonable replies only?
Hmm just a thought…
