On the way to coffee this morning I saw it had jumped from $2.87 to $2.95. About an hour later, on the way home, it was back down to $2.87. Phhht.
The single most lame, journalistically lazy explanation I’ve seen for the surge in gas prices was one I read this morning: “investors are confident.” That writer deserves bitch-slap.
Down to $2.87 on the way to coffee this morning, but back up to $2.93 when I returned from coffee.
I quote this place because it’s the sign I see most. But I seldom fill up there these days. Just as well. As I’ve said, their gas prices sometimes have nothing to do with the price of gas.
