$2.33 to $2.49 in one jump? Damn! I bet they heard what they’re charing up here and went, “Hey! Hey! HEY! Wait on us!”

Weird this morning. Traffic was detoured around an accident and I passed two stations selling at $2.34. Filled Janet’s car at $2.39 last evening at the new 7-Eleven. The other places still at $2.49. Confusion reigns.

Somebody wasn’t looking, and it slipped down to $2.45 here this morning.

I tell ya, they’re messin’ with us. $2.26 this morning and $2.29 at noon. One of the stations on the north side of town was at $2.23 this morning. I’ll get a report from my northside co-worker in the morning.

I noticed the nearby convenience store was selling regular for $2.29 when I drove past on my way home from work yesterday. All the others were still at $2.35. I figured they’d fall in line today (or the others would drop their prices). No change this afternoon. I gassed up at $2.29 and passed up the $2.35 stations.

Holding stubbornly at $2.40 here.
BTW, has anyone else noticed a decrease in their mileage in the past couple of years? Everyone I’ve asked here has noticed it. For lack of a better reason, we’re blaming the ethanol additives.

I don’t know if it is the ethanol or my vehicles are just getting older.

After being stuck at $2.40 seemingly forever, it jumped today to $2.45.
Don’t know why. Not sure anyone knows why. Maybe the price of oil spiked. Maybe the regional manager had PMS.
