Good video.  Interesting about Templehof.  The Russian flooded the bunkers (along with the subway system)to drive out the resistance.  We used the bunker under the end tower to store emergency items like C rations, incinidiaries etc.  All the intercept was from the two end towers.
When we moved to Teufelsberg, we started with some Elint and some 292 vans.  The Elint guys used to track the girld hiking on the mountain with their dish antennas and the would “wink” at them by changing polarity.  Teufelsberg was named after the Teufelsee, a lake neat the bottom.  It was on the Teufelsberg that we discovered that the EGAF had MiG 21s.  WE found out when the buzzed us while protesting a meeting of the West German parlament.  The picture of the site were much larger than when I was there.  In those days, the Berliners had half of the mountain top for recreation purposes, which included a ski run and a sled run.  As the mountain is made up of the ruble from the bombings, one of our past time was to search for interesting stuff such as pieces of uniforms etc.
