Could you possibly be thinking of Joe O’Connor (ASA 1968-1972)?
Joe is in Chicago, married, a lawyer , etc.
If it’s Joe, lt me know and I will provide any contact info I have.

Pivo,
Thanks but it was Paul. He was in my class at Monterey and coincidentally was also from Chicago. I haven’t seen nor heard from him since Rimbach. For that matter I haven’t heard from anyone else from my class directly. Joe Deegan hears from Rich Hill and a few guys hear from Tom Sublett and Mondell Dillard but the rest are out there somewhere.Steve Ducey was from around the Boston area but who knows nowadays.

sorry to be so late in replying. If I had to guess at a middle initial it would be J but that would be all it is…only a guess. He was originally from the Chicago area and attended DLI in 67-68 studying Czech.

Re John Kelliher post of Jan 2009, mentioning Steve Ducey.  Would that be Steven M Ducey, now 64 years old and still living in Mass?

Well the ages sure fit. Steve was married while in DLI so he lived off base and we used to go to his house and party.

If Steve was married, and this is him, he is either a widower or divorced.  There is no phone number listed, but here is the
address, if you want to drop him a line.  What was his wife’s name?

John K. and others concerned:  I just spoke with Steve Ducey, and he said, “that was a long time ago, and I really don’t want any
association with things or people from back then.”  I told him that I had his address as ............. in South Hadley, MA, and he requested that I remove any information that I had on him from any data base, or whatever I was using.  So, any of you that might have thought about snail-mailing him a note or card or whatever, I guess you should refrain from doing so, because he doesn’t want to hear from you.

Odd, isn’t it, how some of us — heck, all of us on this site — cherish our time(s) in Rimbach and the friends we made there and since then, while a handful of others would apparently just like to forget it, along with anything and anyone associated with it.

Their prerogatives, of course, and I certainly don’t know enough about their lives to speak to their feelings on this. Just one of those situations that make you all thoughtful and go, “Hmm.”

Anyway ... Just sayin’.

Well, since I wasn’t with Steve 24/7 I can’t really pinpoint anything that would make him feel this way or for that matter maybe there is no reason, just personality. I enjoy talking to and listening to everyone on the list, even those I never knew personally but that’s just me. Who knows what happened in the past 40 or so years to some that have caused them to want to expunge that part of their lives from memory. As for me,keep the stories coming. I may even remember some where I was present but my memory maker was a bit clouded. Hiccup!
