It’s hot and humid and I am tired and for a moment I thought yeah I can agree with Newt on this one—But, even with sweat running through my eyes Newt’s vision of Freedom of Religion most certainly does not conform to our Progressive Founding Fathers vision. Nothing new there Newt is a radical conservative.

But as Newt is a very intelligent conservative he can on occasion get things right or at least find one tree in the forest.

Ground Zero nor it’s near by streets is no place for a mosque.

That doesn’t sound like one who favors separation of church and state but more along the likes of the fundamental Christians dictating what is or is not the moral thing to do. Oh I forgot.Nothing is black and white.

That’s right JK
Nothing is black and white. Sooner or later you will learn that variables are just that. I’m sure you would be happy with a mosque being built on the Ground Zero site. You silence on the subject at hand has been noted.

I on the other hand am able to make a decision, a political response, not a knee jerk religious hatred response. The mind set of the terrorists who attacked did it in the name of their religion and some believers of that religion cheered on the event. To honor their attack by placing a shrine devoted to their religion on the site would be symbolically irresponsible and politically insane.

Me happy about a mosque? LOL
Your political decision is contrary to what you state is your belief in separation of church and state. Regardless of sensibilities, the owners of the property have the constitutional right to build a mosque using the Progressive interpretation of the Constitution. Also there were Muslim victims in the towers apart from the terrorists so you are denying them their right to memorialize their dead. These are not my personal feelings but are based on logical evaluation of the facts. The Constitution is not a variable. If government is to be separate from religion it must be so in all cases.Of course we both know that this isn’t the case but allowing the mosque to be banned would only create a precedent for future restrictions of religions by government.Already the Obama administration has coined the term “freedom of worship” perhaps as a precursor to more restriction of religious freedom.
If it were up to me I wouldn’t allow a single mosque to be built in the entire country. Not because of religious prejudice but based on the all inclusive lifestyle of strict Islamists which contradicts many sections of our Constitution and from their stated goal of turning the entire world into a Caliphate.
Since when did symbolism and politics take precedence over the Constitution? A disgusting act such as flag burning which is a direct use of symbolism to portray hatred of the country is never the less deemed to be constitutional. Thank the SC for that one.So you either have to revert back to the Judeo-Christian values the country was founded upon or accept the Progressive and permisive society we have allowed to evolve. I know where I stand.

Is it now please enlighten me - it’s got to be worth a laugh or two to see you slither once again.  Nothing at all in your post explains such a statement. Nothing I have said justifies such a statement. You are one very confused person.

Now I can see why you were so quite.. you actually support a mosque being built on Ground Zero. Oh flip flop JK who knows where he stands is at it again eh..and yet you wouldn’t let any mosque be built not because of your religious hatred but because you just don’t like em eh LOL

Your confusion of the institutional marriage of state and religion and the activities of state are obvious. Preventing a single mosque being built at a specific location in a city of 100 mosque’s has nothing what so ever to do with banning an individuals right to Freedom of Religion.

So you think the Constitution is a building permit eh With your thinking there would be a Japanese shrine on top of the USS Missouri.. Or would they still be in internment camps cause ya don’t like em?

Seems you put a lot of jungle juice in your daily dose of snake oil…With all your blabber you still have not said if you agree or disagree with Newt’s opinion. Never seen a snake sitting on a fence before but it sure does look funny from this angle..
