NOTE: Rimbach’s Wikipedia entry — authored by Rimbach veteran F. Harrison (Harry) Wallace and providing more technical and administrative detail — can be read here.
Rimbach is a village in Germany near that country’s border with the Czech Republic. Rimbach is small and rural, and perhaps best known these days to summertime tourists who come to wander the beautiful Bavarian mountains and valleys that surround it.
To a relatively small group of former American soldiers and airmen, however, Rimbach is more like a second home.
